It’s another year, and we have a potentially special season
of college football coming up this fall.
In 2012, the Northwest Conference had a special season. Linfield and Pacific Lutheran both made it to
the NCAA Playoffs, Willamette went 8-2 and had one of the most exciting
offenses in the nation, and Whitworth went 7-3 as the fourth-place team. Pacific(OR) was more competitive than we
thought they would be, and Lewis & Clark had a strong start before coming completely
undone. Only Pudget Sound served as a
doormat in 2012. With so many key
players coming back for most of the teams, 2013 figures to be as entertaining
as 2012 was.
Starting this season, WildcatSpread40 will now have a
SoundCloud account. The SoundCloud
portion of WildcatSpread40 will have pre-season predictions, game previews,
conference predictions for the week, weekly wrap-ups, and whatever audio clips
WildcatSpread40 can get its hands on.
What this means is the following: The YouTube page will only have postgame
analysis videos on it. The main page of
the blog will be dropping (for now) all the written game preview articles and
the game coverage articles, and only the Instant Analysis and What We Learned
posts will be posted on the main page of the blog.
Now that we’ve got that out of the way, let’s start
speculating on the upcoming season! Within
the next few weeks, WildcatSpread40 will be previewing each team in the order
of where WildcatSpread40 thinks they will finish in the league standings in the
upcoming season, starting from the bottom.
After each team’s preview is posted onto SoundCloud, WildcatSpread40
will make a final post on the main page of the blog with links to all the
SoundCloud clips. Be sure to follow
along!
